When daniel patrick burst on the scene in 2011, he pioneered a way forward through the mess of modern menswear: Unique cuts. Deep colors. Minimal branding. It’s not hard to spot the signature style, even in a t-shirt: longer, looser, with an ever-present centered line.
The brand gained traction with professional athletes across the NBA because of a reputation for unparalleled comfort, fit and functionality: When your die-hard supporters include Dwyane Wade and Draymond Green, other athletes are going to follow suit — including the NBA’s self-proclaimed fashion king, Russell Westbrook.
Individual stylist requests started pouring in, with alterations tailored for the unique sizes of these superhuman all-stars. For Demarcus Cousins: triple XL daniel patrick bombers. For Marc Gasol and Tobias Harris, custom denim. For Kevin Durant, longer sleeves to cover his exceptional wingspan. They asked, Daniel made it happen.
It’s not just the NBA that’s in love with daniel patrick athleisure: Odell Beckham Jr. and Kam Chancellor may play on opposite sides of the ball when the Giants and Seahawks face off, but they both agree on daniel patrick when it comes to athleisure and streetwear. (And don’t leave out Marcus Stroman or Tim Lincecum, repping the MLB in daniel patrick tops and denim.)

Manufacturing shoes at this size required an upgrade of machinery at their factory in Italy — or the shoes wouldn’t even fit through certain parts of the assembly line
Other designers would have folded under the pressure. But Daniel had seen worse as a professional rugby player, and he knew how to respond to the challenge. In fact, his understanding of sportswear as a former athlete himself gives him an inherent insight into what athletes want most — and how to make it happen
As the go-to streetwear designer of all-stars and legends, odds are you’ll be seeing a lot more of daniel patrick.
